New City Fire Department Honors Old-Timers

NEW CITY, N.Y. --  Once a year, the "old-timers" of the New City Fire Department will hold a dinner to catch up with each other, but the funny thing is, most of them still work together.

Recently, the group held their dinner at the firehouse to not only get together, but to also honor those who have become Life Members and have reached other milestones in their careers.

One of those honored this year included Artie Kunz Sr., who recently marked 50 years of service in the department.

According to the department, Kunz is still one of their most active drivers, a sign, they say, of his ongoing dedication to his fellow firefighters, and the community they serve.
